Good Morning Northeast Academy Family and Friends,
It is June 15, 2015 and hard to believe that this school year has gone by so fast. I apologize that it has been so long since I posted anything in the Headmaster's Corner and will strive to keep this place more current not only during the summer but in the upcoming year! I want to thank everyone for such a wonderful first year here at Northeast Academy. My wife and I cannot tell you how much it means to us that you accepted and supported us this year, we are truly humbled and blessed by you all. I would like to congratulate all of our graduates and let them know we will be praying for them as they embark on the next part of their journey of life. We are so proud of each and every one of you!!
As we prepare for the next school year, we are anticipating a very productive and exciting year. Our atheletes are already conditioning and working to get ready for next years sports and we are expecting great things for our atheletes. We know they will give their best and that all our competitors will know they have been in competition with the best. We are looking forward to expanding our academic programs as our teachers prepare for the coming year and we explore new ways to deliver learning opportunities for our students. We are also excited about the expansion of our christian curriculum in the elementary school and continuation of our bible curriculum in the secondary school. As we prepare for the 2015/16 school year I am anxious to see what God will do here at Northeast Academy as we seek to serve Him and do His will. Cannot wait to see how God uses our staff, Chapel speakers and prayer partners to make an impact on our students, community and world!
I would like to encourage all parents of returning students to encourage their children whether pre-k or high school to engage in some learning activities this summer. Please encourage your children to read this summer and make a trip to the library to check out any literacy programs they may have. If possible make a field trip to some place that will get your students excited about learning. There are some awesome historical places in NC and many are close by and cost little or nothing to visit other than gas and time. Make learning fun for them and when they come back to school they will continue that excitement in the classroom. Day trips to Raleigh and the museums there can be great tools to get your kids hooked on learning and Raleigh has some great places to eat as treat for mom and dad as well. Don't let your kids sit and soak, get them up and out and challenge them to work around the house and make it something they get praise for so that they will not see work as what the world defines as work- you know just another four letter word. Work should be fun and should give us a sense of pride and accomplishment.
I have taken up far more space than I intended but hope that it will be a blesing to you and an encouragement. My next post will hopefully be next week and beginning then I hope to share some insights on the family. My pastor is teaching a serieis on the family on Sunday evenings and I will use some of the lessons he teaches to encourage our families and hopefully strengthen our Norteast Academy Family. These nuggets of gold about the family will come from the Word of God and I hope will be a blessing to all! Take care and again from my wife and I thank you so much for a great year!!
